These units are characterized by a frameless door panel alongside a fixed wall of frameless glass. (A second piece of fixed glass is added if a 90 degreereturn is needed to fully enclose the stall.) These units feature innovative systems that allow the door to glide open and shut without the need for aluminum framing.
Finally, a third option is found in swinging glass shower doors. This look could be found on a solitary glass door on a tiny shower in an efficiency apartment or it can be seen on a double door system that is part of a huge glass shower in a luxurious master bathroom. This door type is also timeless and can add elegance to a shower stall. One point of caution regarding swinging shower doors is clearance. Per today’s building codes a shower door has to be hung so that it can open out into the bathroom, even if it also swings inward. Before getting your heart set on a swinging door or double door system, make sure that there is enough room for it to swing open freely.
